Something that isn't tragic where someone else dies nor too serious. Also, I hate shallow typical teenage flicks like American Pie or something. In other words a witty and funny yet touching love story movie. Any suggestions?

Once is probably the most accurate, true-to-life love story ever. It's an independent film from Ireland that won best the Oscar for best original song a few years ago (Falling Slowly). It's in my top 5 favorite films of all time. An unexpected surprise when I went to see it.

The Blind Side is in a way a love story. It's about this white upper class family that takes a homeless African American high school man into their home, adopt him, and then he becomes a high draft pick in the NFL. The movie focuses on how the family's views towards other people around them, and how they fall in love with this guy and take him in as part of their family. Very heartwarming. But has enough comedy in it to not be too dramatic.

one of my favourite of all time is Mozart and the whale i have been told by others that it is a good movie so it's not just me if you don't mind sub-titles try 'Amelie' it not really a love story but more of a life story, very quaint and simplistic. It does have a very strong (poignant) romantic sub-plot if you just want a light hearted dry comedy try little miss sunshine also i would recommend as it is in Heaven but that has a sort of mixed ending. It was shown to full houses for almost 3 months, which i've never heard of before, especially for the cinema company that showed it, i saw it on cinema 3 times worth it. these are some of my all time favourite heart warmers

When Harry Met Sally is probably up there with the best. It's worth watching just to see the famous Katz Deli scene. Probably the next best one is Annie Hall (or Manhattan), Woody Allen's two masterpieces (the former won Best Picture and beat Star Wars even). However, probably the best romance-ish movies are the ones that have that touch of drama. It's a Wonderful Life, From Here to Eternity, Gone with the Wind, and especially Casablanca are some of the best ones. Titanic is okay, but the romance part of it comes along as a bit cheesy and the real excitement of the story is, ironically, the parts where people are dying. By the way, I'm a guy, and, speaking for my fellow guys, if you want to get them to watch one with you, go for It's a Wonderful Life. It has probably the most uplifting ending of all time (along with the Shawshank Redemption), no one really dies, and there are several witty moments. When Harry Met Sally is wittier, but it's closer to the chick-flick line than Wonderful Life or the other romance dramas are. Either way, have fun.

I haven't watched the blind side yet though. I heard it is really good and can't wait to specify time to watch it! I love most movies I saw in Life Time channels.

I also like A Walk To Remember and Anywhere But Here. They both have good story plots too!
